Dubai-based Flydubai on Thursday announced plans to launch flights to Krabi in Thailand expanding its network to southeast Asia.
The airline said, the new daily flights are codeshared with Emirates and will operate from Terminal 3 at Dubai International (DXB) starting from December 10. Krabi International Airport (KBV) serves as a gateway to Krabi province in southern Thailand and neighbouring regions like Malaysia and Singapore.
With the dispatch of the daily flight Flydubai said it turns into the first UAE national transporter to offer flights to Krabi. Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO at flydubai stated: “We are pleased to see the flydubai system grow further east today with the dispatch of flights to Krabi . Over the past 10 years we have remained committed to opening up underserved markets.”
The association with Emirates, which has been set up since 2017, goes past code-sharing and incorporates incorporated system joint effort with facilitated booking.
Recently, Flydubai initiated its activities to Naples, complimenting the current Emirates network in Italy. Krabi is a popular holiday destination for beach goers and adventures alike while, as the largest city in Myanmar, Yangon is known for its mix of colonial architecture, and a modern high-rise skyline, combined with traditional pagodas. Business Class return passages from Dubai to Krabi begin at £1567 while Economy Class return charges begin at £448/£605 separately.
